Memorial Day

Sunday Snapshots

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Friday night, we took Jackson and Claire to thier first Lookouts game. We met the Coffman's, and took Blake's cousin, Alaina, with us. The Lookouts were playing a double header, but after the first game, we left and took the boys to play in the water near the Aquarium.

On Your Mark....

...get set, GO! Claire is showing some signs of wanting to crawl. Mostly, to get to Jackson's things...could get interesting!

Another Book: Shepherding a Child's Heart

I finished reading this a couple of weeks ago. Excellent book. It is divided into two parts, the first talking about faith based parenting; the latter discussing actually shepherding a child through infancy, childhood, and adulthood. His whole premise talks about how a parents job is to not only correct a child's misbehavior, but to also get to the heart of the matter, the sinful nature of our children's hearts. Our job as a parent is to lead them to not only behave and make good decisions, but to turn away from their sinful nature.

The Big 31

Last weekend, we celebrated my birthday...the Big 31. My family was in town from Alabama to go to "Day Out with Thomas." We went out to dinner, sang karaoke at my parents' house, and ate cake and ice cream. Thanks to everyone that made my day so special.
