Sunday Afternoon

Sunday, lots of families from our church headed to Riceville, Tennessee to a pumpkin patch. The weather was amazing Sunday, and the colors have started to change, and that just made it more beautiful outside. We had a great time.

Alabama Visit

Thursday night, we packed up our car, and Friday afternoon, as soon as Blake got off work, we headed south. We went to visit my family in Alabama. We stayed with my Aunt Sherry and Uncle James, and visited with my grandmother, and cousins, Sean, Erika, and Sawyer.

Friday night, we got there pretty late, and hung out at James and Sherry's house. Saturday, we visited with my grandmother, ate lunch at Riccotoni's, and headed to a farm that also had a pumpkin patch. We had a great time. There were lots of animals and tractors, so Jackson was having the time of his life. We went on a hayride, and got to see lots of pumpkins. We also got to go into a barn, and we let Jackson play in the hay. He loved it! That night, we watched football (well, I didn't). But, enjoyed the company.

Sunday morning, we went to church with my family, ate lunch, and went back to my grandmother's house. We had a great time!

Planner Time

I finally bought a planner last week! I have been 2 hours early to a hair appointment, and realized that was supposed to have Jackson at a picture appointment about 45 minutes beforehand. I have always been pretty scattered about dates and appointments, so I am hoping that this will help.

Five

Yesterday, we went to a birthday party for Darla's grandmother, Blake's great grandmother, and Jackson's great, great grandmother. She was celebrating her 99th birthday. My mind can hardly imagine what life was like 99 years ago. Imagine all of the changes she has witnessed in her life. We were able to get a five generation photograph at the party yesterday, right before Jackson pushed an elderly woman in her wheelchair, and announced, "Ride." Luckily, she had a sense of humor.

Blanket

Jackson has never really been attached to anything....pacifier, thumb, blanket, stuffed animal, etc. until a couple of weeks ago. Now, he is like Linus, with this blanket. A lady that I went to church with and babysat for, Valorie, made this for Jackson. He is officially attached to "ban-bet." Some of the day, and all of the night.

Happy Birthday, La

Last weekend, we celebrated Lydia's birthday. Jackson calls her "La." Thank you, Brad the the chili, and Gigi's for the cupcakes. They were amazing!!! Happy Birthday, Lydia!

Fall Festival

Today, we went to a Fall Festival at my parents' church. We spent a good part of the day outside. We ate chili, cornbread, and Jackson had his first taste of cotton candy. We went on three hayrides, because Jackson loved them so much. One sippie cup went overboard, and was hit by a car. Tragic, I know. There were different vendor booths sat up, including my very talented sister in law, Lydia. She had seasonal decorations, and very pretty beaded jewelry.

One of my favorite moments of the day was when my dad was dressed up as a pumpkin....I just looked at him and laughed and said, "OMG!! If I were like twelve, I would have said, Dad, you are like so lame. Like, totally, take off that costume. You are soooo embarrassing me. Whatever." He thought I was being serious. Funny, how your perspective changes when you are almost 30. He is a pretty cool dad.

Lovin' the fall. It is my favorite.
