2nd Offense

Yep, that is a Rice a Roni explosion...such a little rascal!!

And this is Jackson sporting a pair of 3-6 month leggings for baby sister. Blake did not think this was quite as funny as I did. Definitely good black mail for when his first girlfriend comes to visit.

More Messes

Dear Jackson,
The next time you make a mess, you might want to take your shoes with you. I know you said you didn't do it, but I know I sure didn't. Especially since I just mopped the floor.
Love,
Mommy

26 Weeks, 3 Days Doctor Visit

Yesterday, I went for a routine check up. It was a nice, quick, and easy visit, for which I am grateful. My blood pressure was 110/68, and I have gained a total of 13 pounds. Baby Girl's heartbeat was in the 140s. I go back in three weeks for the fabulous glucose test, and an ultrasound.

So far, it seems like this pregnancy is flying by! We have moved everything out of the future nursery, with the exception of the piano. I think we are going to go pick out a paint color this weekend. Bring on the pink!!

Christmas in July....Beach Style

Saturday night, we were invited to Brad and Lydia's new house for the 2nd annual Christmas in July festivities. Brad and Lydia worked very hard, and thought of every detail for the celebration. The decorations were adorable. We had kabobs, grilled veggies, and fruit for dinner. Brad made everyone virgin pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris for dessert, as well as Christmas cookies. For the gift exchange, we came home with some Christmas coasters and lots of pens, highlighters, and lead pencils. Thanks for such a fun time! Who doesn't love a little Christmas in July?

Alabama Road Trip

Last weekend, we took a road trip to Alabama to visit some of my family. We left Friday afternoon, and came back Sunday afternoon. On Saturday, we took Jackson to the University of North Alabama to see the lions. He was super excited, and loved it. We then went to a park, where there was a train families could ride around, and had snow cones and popsicles. We had a really nice visit with my aunt, uncle, grandmother, and cousins.

We Got Flamingoed.....

Dear Donnie Freeman,
We know who you are.
We know what you did.
And we know where you live.
And we will get even.
Love,

4th of July Weekend

I didn't get many pictures at all of our weekend festivities....Saturday morning, I realized that my camera battery was not charged, but did have enough "juice" left to snap just a few pictures. We spent the whole day with family, and it was lots of fun. We spent the afternoon at my parents' house, eating and swimming. Jackson has acquired a taste for my dad's grilled ribs, and he was quite the entertainer while eating his lunch. We spent the evening at Blake's grandparents' house, eating and hanging out outside. We then went to the fireworks show at the Lake...the people watching before the show never fails to entertain. Jackson loved the fireworks, and wasn't scared at all. Too bad our sweet dog practically destroyed our garage while the neighbors were celebrating....she ending up taking 4 Benadryl and sleeping really good last night. Poor girl.

Back to the Zoo

We took Jackson back to the zoo on Wednesday. Blake hasn't been since he was a child, and was quite impressed at how family friendly and clean it was. Highlights of the day include: Jackson petting the goats and riding the carousel. He enjoyed them both.
