Trip to "The Boro"

On Friday and Saturday of Spring Break, our family headed to Murfreesboro to visit Brian, Tiffany, and Ellis. We had such a fun time, as we always do. On Friday, we went to Camino Royale for dinner, and Marble Slab for dessert. We also took the babies to the park and let them play on the playground. Ellis dominates on the playground. Jackson, not so much. He was afraid of the slide. On Saturday morning, we headed into Nashville, and went shopping at Opry Mills. There is an indoor carousel and a sting ray feeding pond, and Ellis loved the carousel. Jackson, not so much. He didn't like the carousel. Poor baby. He started crying, as if I had put him on a roller coaster. I felt so bad! We also took the boys to Rainforest Cafe. They LOVED it. Ellis and Jackson cracked up at the gorillas, and Jackson loved the waterfall. We had such a fabulous time. Tiffany, please move back! I miss you! Until then, we do love our trips to Nashville!

We took a pic of the boys in their cribs when Jackson was 3 weeks old, and Ellis was 3 days old. My, the difference one year makes! What is in your nose, Ellis?

We'll have 2 grilled cheese sandwiches with bananas and apple juice, please!

I met my friend Beth and her boys, Dylan and Wyatt, at the park during Spring Break. Jackson had fun crawling around on the small playground. He wasn't too sure about the swings or the slide, just yet.

St. Patrick's Day

We had a busy day wearing our green. We started off the day with a play date at Claire's house. There were 17 kiddos at her house. We had alot of fun. That night, we went to Robin, Scott, and Ben's house and had a pizza picnic on the lake. Ben is so precious! We got a couple of pics of Jackson is his Irish shirt before he got a little dirty playing outside.

The Clubhouse

Jackson spends a lot of time playing under my kitchen table every day. He has created his own little obstacle course, and brings a little nest of toys, blankets, and anything else he can find and plays for the longest time. Blake and I have deemed it his little clubhouse. He is so funny!

Dessert for Dinner

Last weekend was gorgeous. Unfortunately, we were all staring at the four walls of our house last weekend, as we had been for nearly an entire week. We were all sick at some point, and each of us missed one day of work last week. Thankfully, on Monday, things were back to the "new normal"! After I got home from work on Monday, we all decided we wanted to go outside and enjoy the beautiful afternoon. We parked at Coolidge Park , and walked across the pedestrian bridge. We walked around the Riverfront, and enjoyed dinner for dessert at Cold Stone Creamery. We all shared a "Cookie, Don't You Want Some?," which is a delicious combination of vanilla ice cream, cookie dough, caramel, and chocolate syrup. We enjoyed ourselves so much. I can't wait to spend many more afternoons downtown.

One Year Wellness Check

Facing forward in my new car seat. On my way to see Dr. Wiley.

Today, we had an appointment for Jackson's 1 year wellness check with Dr. Wiley. Jackson weighed 20 pounds, 2 ounces (15th percentile), and measured 30 inches long (60th percentile). His head circumference was in the 80th percentile. Dr. Wiley was pleased with his development and eating habits, and his bloodwork also looked great. Thank you, Jesus, for a great report.
Jackson also has been throwing up again. He has been okay since this morning, so hopefully he is on the road to recovery. I stayed at home with him today, but will probably go back to work tomorrow, and just keep him in until Thursday, just to be on the safe side. Alot of kiddos at work have had it, so hopefully I am not bringing germs home with me!

Jackson's new favorite thing to do, it to remove my air vent covers, and climb down into the duct work. Isn't that crazy? Love that baby!
