Week in Pics

This week, Blake was off work!  I LOVE going on vacation, but I am not going to lie....it was nice staying home.  I actually feel rested and relaxed.  We had so much fun just hanging out together.  We went out on the boat with my dad, went swimming a few times, went to Steve's Landing for dinner, went to the mall, Blake detailed my nasty car, and Blake took Jack to see Kung Fu Panda at the FREE movie on Thursday.  Just a normal week, but we were all together! :)
Spider Man goggles in the car.  Sure.
I decided to clean out our shared closet space (this occurs often, we would both enjoy separate spaces), and decided to take some of my winter clothes to Jack's closet. Um, yeah.  After a loud noise this morning, this is what we found.  Nice.  On tomorrow's to do list.

Claire has is obsessed with finding my make up, and pitches a big ole fit if I take it away.

It was 106 today.  We may have let Claire run around in a diaper.
She got the mascara confused with the lip gloss.
Other Randoms:
  • It is challenging interesting having two mobile and verbal children.
  • Jackson is swimming and jumping of the diving board with no floaties.  A regular swimmer.
  • I have lost 24 pounds since January of 2011.  I have 6 more to go until I weigh what I did the day Blake and I married.  Things sure don't look the same, but the number on the scale will hopefully be. I want to try some new recipes.
  • My best friend is pregnant, and due December 26.  I am super excited!!
  • I have entirely too many of Jackson and Claire's outgrown clothes in the attic.  I am going to try to put some things on Ebay next week.
  • My cup is overflowing with thanksgiving for my little family.  God has given me the most amazing husband, and Jackson and Claire are daily reminders of how faithful my God is. So thankful for this season of my life.

Sunday Snapshots: Church Picnic Edition

Random Phone Pictures

Last Friday night, Jackson and Blake camped out in the backyard again.  Robin and Ben came and stayed until about 11:30, and they had the best time.  We made smores, ate pizza, and just enjoyed being outside.
I think we were going to play at the water area at the Aquarium.  I love this picture of Jackson.
Today, Jackson was invited to a birthday party at Pump It Up.  It was for his friend Owen at school.  Claire was totally ticked and determined that she should  be able to play on the inflatables.  Maybe next time, Small Pint.

 Jack-Man coming down the slide.
Jack and his best buddy into an intense game of Angry Birds on their Mommy's phones.
Jack and Claire both LOVE pizza.  Neither of them like a lot of foods other kids like (mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, Jack just started eating sandwiches), but I can guarantee they will both eat plenty if we are having pizza.  Jackson now loves the nights where I make dough (or buy it from the deli), and he makes his own dinner.
Monday morning highlight.
Blake headed up a soccer team for the men at church (TMCFC-The Ministry Center Football Club).  They are having a fun time, and Blake scored a goal!  They also won their game today.  Go Blake!!!

Splish, Splash

Today we went to the Splash Pad with some of our friends.  This was the first time we have been, and it was fun!  We got there about 12:30, and my babies melted down about 3:30, and we left. :)
They were both doing this within about 30 seconds of pulling out of the parking lot.

Claire received her first pedi this morning.  She sat sooo still, and loved every second of pampering.  That is her finger pointing to her cute little toes.
LOVE these two.  God is so good.

Happy Birthday, Pop!

Yesterday, Blake's dad, most commonly known as Pop these days, celebrated his 60th birthday.  Darla threw a small surprise birthday party for both sides of his family at the Helicopter Park last night.  Blake and Brad "roasted" their dad, and told some funny Donnie stories.  We love you, Pop!  Hope you had a great birthday!

Father's Day 2012

I love my little family, and I am head over heels in love with my husband.  He is an amazing leader and provider for our family, and I am so very thankful for everything he does for us.  He loves our children so very much, and spends every moment that he is at home with us.  He is selfless, a hard worker, and my best friend.  Jackson and Claire adore him.  He is a fun dad!  Always taking time to throw a baseball, kick a soccer ball, and run laps around the house with Jackson.  He throws Claire around the swimming pool just to hear her laugh, plays tea party, and reads books in a way more fun voice than I do.  Heck, he even irons his own clothes.  I am not gonna lie...he irons all of our clothes.  He really is my match made in heaven.  I love him.  Happy Father's Day, Blake.

Random

I am so thankful they have each other.

Jackson's school posted this on Facebook the other day.  They have been working on the playground this summer, and are creating a fossil digging area on the playground.  How fun!
I have been wanting to make Jack and Claire's bathroom look like a child's bathroom.  I found this curtain, shower curtain clips, and toothbrush holder on clearance at Target (how I love thee), all for under $10.  If I had paid full price, it would have costs $40.
Chik Fil A and the mall playground.  Still something we love to do.
This picture defines Jack.
Last week's fun. Jack was broke out in hives all over his torso.  He needs to eat a few sandwiches (and a cookie).
I love this man, and so does his son!
