Tonight we went to Izzy's first birthday party. When I started babysitting her, she was 3 or 4 months old! She is growing up, and she and Claire are becoming buddies! Happy Birthday, sweet Izzy!

A Four Year Old Celebration
Today, Jackson's class celebrated his birthday. Instead of doing snacks, the students make the birthday student a piece of artwork. I got to be there this morning while they presented Jackson with his birthday gift during Morning Meeting.
They all came over and sat on the carpet.
The recited the Pledge of Allegiance, and sang "The Good Morning Song."

Happy Birthday, Blake!
I believe Blake was quite blessed this year on his 32nd birthday. He had 3 seperate birthday festivities to celebrate him! Last Sunday after church, we went out to eat with his parents and Brad and Lydia at Outback. Wednesday night, I cooked one of his favorite meals for him (Spinach Alfredo Ravioli) and made him a birthday cake. After church his parents and Brad and Lydia stopped by for some cake. On Friday night, my mom made Blake his favorite meal. He loves her fried chicken (mashed potatoes, peas, biscuits, gravy, corn casserole) and she also had him a Paula Dean Ooey Gooey Butter Cake. I hope he had a great birthday week. I look forward to many, many more. I love you, Blake!

Happy Birthday, Abby!
Saturday, we went to Abby's birthday party at Pie Slinger's. We have never been there before, and I immediatly grabbed my camera after two people carried out the largest pizza I have ever seen. Crazy!

A Party for Our Girl!

A very special thank you to my dear friends Robin, Leigh Ann, Veryll, my mom, Darla, Rick, Opem Brad and Aunt Lydia. Robin captured Claire's day on camera for us. Veryll made anything pink and purple that you see. I know if must have taken her hours to make everything, and it was perfect and precious! Lydia and Leigh Ann helped clean up. My mom and Darla helped with food and cleaning, and of course Opem Brad: Resourceful Fireman Extraordinare. Thank you for salvaging the balloons from the ceiling. Rick, thank you for the creative cupcakes to make the centerpieces for the table....It really does take a village.
