Orange Beach-Saturday/Sunday

Saturday morning, we left our house and headed to Orange Beach with Donnie, Darla, Brad, and Lydia. On the way down, we stopped at Cracker Barrel for breakfast, and went through the Wendy's drive thru for a healthy (insert sarcasm) lunch. After numerous stops for potty breaks (often per my request), we made it to the beach. Our condo was awesome, as well as swimming pools for us to relax and have fun in! After checking everything out at the condo, we headed out to dinner at The Hangout. It was a great place, especially to take our overly tired, traveling two year old. It was loud and very informal. The food was also great. We then headed to Publix to by some things we needed for the week.

Sunday, we got up, ate breakfast, and headed to the beach. Jackson loves the sand, and doesn't love playing in the ocean, so we spent lots of time making sand castles, and looking for sea shells. Sadly, there were some tarballs (which I had never even heard of until a few weeks ago), and oil that washed up on the beach. Not alot, but still very, very sad. Jackson and Blake got a few on them, just from playing in the sand, and had to go to a special washing station, where some people rinsed them with a solution of with Dawn and MoJo. There were people working the whole time we were there to attempt to keep the beach clean.

After the beach, we headed to the pool. Ahhh...The lazy river. I want one! We literally spent hours floating around, just relaxing. Jackson and I were both tired from all of the water fun, so we went back to the room and took a nice, long nap. Our room didn't have a window, so it was dark, and made for optimal napping. If you know me, you know I LOVE naps! Brad and Lydia cooked dinner, BBQ chicken sandwiches. Next, we went to a souvenir shop, and enjoyed embarrassing my father in law, Donnie Freeman :)....It is so fun to do that.
Other memorable moments: Sweet Jackson launched his sippy cup from the balcony of the 14th floor. Luckily, it hit a flower bed and no one was injured below. And the sippy cup was salvaged by Uncle (Opem) Brad, and the cup was not damaged.
