34 Weeks

Little Rascal

Jackson dressed himself this morning...in running pants, a Santa Claus shirt, and Buzz Lightyear flip flops. The shirt and pants are on backwards. We have no where to go today...he is still wearing them. I just went in to make sure he was napping....he has emptied the laundry basket of clean laundry on top of himself...and is fast asleep under a heap of laundry. Such a rascal.

Ta-Dah....

The crib and changing table are all ready for Miss Claire. We are picking up her chest of drawers at a later date, and a girl from church is letting me borrow her glider. I found some curtains that I like, and will probably order. I am on the lookout for cute pink and green accessories for her room! I guess we have the next 18 years to get her room just like we want it. Ha!!

Da Crib

Blake borrowed his Dad's truck yesterday to pick up Claire's crib and changing table. I anxiously waited his arrival home yesterday, and spent much of the day washing all of her newborn outfits, sheets, burp clothes, and blankets. I even broke out the iron and pressed her bed skirt (in case you didn't know, only males use the iron in this house). It pains Blake to watch me iron, and I prefer to keep it that way. Anyway, Donnie came by after work and helped Blake unload her furniture, and get his truck back. Within a few minutes, the crib was fully assembled....except one piece on one of the legs was warped. Blah. So, this morning, I returned the faulty piece, and got a new one. I am waiting patiently for Blake to get home from work (yes, on Saturday), and finish putting together the crib. I did get a lot of her things put away yesterday, and Blake hung up her letters and a shelf. The nursery is, slowly, but surely, coming together.

33 Weeks, 4 Days Doctor Visit

Today, Blake and I continued our Thursday tradition...a visit to the doctor! We didn't have to wait very long today, since we had a morning appointment, and that was very nice. My blood pressure was 110/70 and I lost another pound this week. He looked over all of my blood sugar levels, and said they looked perfect, just to make sure I was drinking enough water.

We also had the Fetal Non Stress Test this morning. I was hooked up to two monitors for about 30 minutes, and everything looked great with Baby Girl.

I am supposed to continue taking my blood sugar 2 hours after every meal, and in the mornings. We go back to the doctor in 1 week, and are also scheduled for another ultrasound.

In other news, Blake is going to pick up the crib and changing table after he gets off work tomorrow. I am sooo excited! I really want to start getting things put away, and get her room somewhat ready for her. I know she probably won't be sleeping in there for a while, but it will make me feel better, anyway! Labor Day Fun

We had a great, relaxing Labor Day. We slept in (8:00 counts, right). Blake made breakfast. We kind of eased into our morning. We packed a picnic lunch, and headed to the park around lunch time. Jackson got to try out his new tricycle on the track. He pretended he was Lightning McQueen the whole time, on his way to California for the last race. He is practically obsessed with Lightning McQueen these days. With each lap, he needed new tires, a new battery, or Blake to start his engine. It was pretty funny.

After we ate lunch, Jackson played some more. We then were brave enough to go walk around Toys R Us, to get some ideas for Christmas gifts. Needless to say, we were able to get PLENTY of ideas for Mr. Jackson. He still hasn't forgotten about the train table! Shopping should be pretty easy!
