Sunday Snapshots

Getting a picture with all of us looking at the camera and smiling a genuine smile is just not happening these days. But, it is what it is. I love having pictures of Jack and Claire dressed up on Sundays. So......it is what it is. :)
Claire now says "Cheese" everytime the camera comes out, but the tricky thing is she closes her eyes at the same time.

I told Blake today that Claire's outfit consisted of Mae Wood's shoes (thank you, Claire), Abby Hill's dress (thank you, Melissa), and a hairbow made my Heather Ward (thank you, Heather).

I thought this was a cute picture of Jack and Abby. This is his last Sunday as a three year old!! He looks so big here!! Love that Jackers!!

Tonight, Blake and I went back to church to watch "Courageous." Neither of us had watched it before, and I used a whole box of Kleenex. It was such a great movie.

After Christmas, Blake and I bought the Resolutions for Men and Resolutions for Women books that go along with the movie. I finished mine the other night, and it was one of the best books I have read in a long, long time. It really made me think about my role in the home as a wife and mother. I recommmend this book to all of my friends!

I have a very interesting look on my face. We were getting ready for date night. PF Chang's, a mocha, and a free blood pressure screening. Living on the edge.

Sunday Snapshots: Just Sissy Sweetheart Edition

Jackson's Valentine Party at School

Today was Jackson's Valentine Party at school. He really had fun, even though that last mother/son picture does not appear that way! He did not want his picture taken. His little class exchanged valentines and had a special snack today. Love this little boy!!

And Some Random Pics off my Phone

Diva Claire. Best Buddies.
My big boy.

My kids love to go to the grocery store. We walked in the door the other day...Claire said, "I want cookie. I want bawwoon." (balloon)

Pigtail Princess

Yesterday, I took Jackson out for a little mommy and me time. He went to my dental appointment with me. He chose Panera for breakfast, and a trip to Books A Million. We read Batman books for a really long time, and I let him pick one to bring home. That sweet boy went and picked up a purple book for him to buy for me. He is so precious! I loved having some time just the two of us. I could tell it was really good for both of us.

Blake and I also had a parent teacher conference yesterday. It went well. His school is so individualized, and I could tell they really knew alot about Jackson. They had a powerpoint presentation of him doing all of the things he can do at school. I loved seeing pictures of him learning new things. I really wish he could stay there until it was time for college! Next year, he is going on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Just for me to remember: Last night, I made Spinach Lasagna Roll Ups...They were really good, but obviously had spinach in them. Jackson did not want to eat his dinner, and when we asked him why, he explained to us that he did not like to eat bushes for dinner.

Sunday Snapshots: Super Bowl Edition

Sunday was such a great day! TWENTY people got baptized Sunday morning! I don't think I have ever witnessed that many people getting baptized at one time in my life. It was awesome!!

That night, we went back to church for the Super Bowl party in the fellowship hall. We had lots of great snacks, and Blake had a really good time watching the game. He and Dewayne made a makeshift couch, and really enjoyed themselves. I didn't watch much of the game, but had a fun time talking with friends, and chasing Jackson and Claire around.

I am so thankful for my church, and church family, and that so many people are making decisions to live for Jesus!

Just a Little This and That

Here are the little darlings before church Sunday.

They crack me up. I love them so much.

My BFF.

Claire loves to eat! She has started pulling up to her high chair and saying crackie (cracker), nana (banana), wa-ee(water).

I pretty much fall in love with my husband a little more every day. Especially when I see him sitting in the hallway playing tea party with the little Freemans. So, so sweet!

If we make it until her second birthday without a concussion, broken bones, or stitches, I will consider myself lucky. She is a monkey, and fearless!

Love the Strieplings! I went to church with her on Sunday and witnessed their entire family get baptized, and join their church. So, so, happy for her. She is an amazing wife and mother, and I am so thankful for her! Thank you, Jesus, for friendships that endure both time and distance.

Loved these two quotes I read this week:

"Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do... but how much love we put in that action."
Mother Teresa

"Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art... It has no survival value; rather is one of those things that give value to survival."
- C. S. Lewis
