Week Snapshots

This week, Jackson's homework assignment for lap sit was to create an apple puppet.

He did a great job!
Every night before we go to bed, we clean our living room...Jackson had been up for 1 hour when I took this snapshot.

Oh, well. At least he is having fun. If you come visit us from 9:00 p.m. until 8:30 a.m., you might seen a clean house....otherwise, there is a little boy having fun here.

Hoping he doesn't figure out how to dial 911....

37 Weeks, 1 Day Doctor Visit

Today, we had our final ultrasound of Baby Claire. She looks fabulous...she got an A+ on her biophysical profile. Her estimated weight is around 7 pounds, 5 ounces. That can be off by as much as one pound, either way. My blood pressure was 120/70, and I didn't gain any weight this week. I am still dilated 3 centimeters, and my blood sugar levels are all fine. We go back on Monday for our final check up, and will be holding our baby girl in just 10 days!

Starbucks Sad

Friday night, Blake took me out on the town for a date. My favorite date is going out for coffee and dessert. Dessert is not an option, but I have found a drink that I can somewhat enjoy: Sugar Free Decaf Iced Caramel Latte. Unfortunately, I don't think the Starbucks employees enjoy making this delicacy for me...I think they think I am a diva. But, in reality, I am just following the rules. Nevertheless, the markings on my cup made me giggle. And, if I am paying 4 bucks for a drink, I don't think they should complain too much.

37 Weeks

Fall in (finally) in the air! Our family will be welcoming sweet, little Madeline Claire into our family in just eleven more days. This pregnancy has ZOOMED by. Her room is finished, the car seat is installed, the swing is ready, her clothes are packed. Jackson has new tennis shoes and his Halloween costume (I HAD to have these checked off my list before she got here!), and the car has been washed inside and out. We are spending the next few special days enjoying being a family of three.

More Nursery Pics

Tiffany (a friend from church) hand painted these letters for Claire's door. Jackson has a set also. Super cute!
I was actually going to hang a mirror over her changing table. Once I started shopping around, all of the ones I found were very heavy. I was afraid she would knock it off when she started flailing around during diaper changes (much like Jackson), and give herself a concussion. So, I found these frames at Hobby Lobby. Will probably wait and get a mirror when I am not using the changing table any more.
She has curtains!! With blackout panels! Both of my babies' rooms get the morning sun. Wake up time is pretty early around here!

I wasn't happy with the white letters against the light pink wall, so Blake painted them "Watermelon" today. I like it much better!
I think we have pretty much finished Claire's nursery! Twelve days until we get to meet her!
