Jackson's Last Soccer Game of Spring 2014

Jackson finished up Spring Soccer yesterday!  He played on Team Spain, and Blake was the coach.  Blake really enjoyed coaching Jackson, and Jackson had a good season.  The league we are playing with really takes time to make sure that the children understand how to play the game of soccer.  We noticed during this season that the name "Jackson" is even more popular than we thought. So much for picking a name that wasn't used frequently!  During one game, there were 6 players on the field, and FOUR of them were named "Jackson."  This soccer player is my favorite, though!

Just Hanging Out

"Let us know; let us press on to know the LORD; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.”  Hosea 6:3

Sunday Snapshots: Mother's Day Edition

We had a nice Mother's Day weekend!  Yesterday, Blake, Jackson and Claire planned a little celebration and it was very thoughtful and kind.  Blake interviewed the kids on video and played it to music....it made me cry!  I will treasure it forever!  Jackson took me on a walk, while Blake and Claire cooked dinner.  Blake gifted me with new tennis shoes and some new running clothes. I am so thankful for Jackson and Claire.  I am thankful that God picked me to be their mama!  They are my joy, and mean more to me than I could ever begin to put into words.

Today, we celebrated each of our mothers.  We went to church with each of our moms, and had lunch with my mom, and went to Blake's moms later in the afternoon.  We are both very thankful for our moms.  They support us and love our children very much.  Happy Mother's Day!

Tellico...Ten Years Later

On April 14, 2014, Blake and I celebrated the 10th anniversary of our engagement!!  So, we loaded up our babies and took them to the place where Blake asked me to be his wife.  It was so neat telling Jack and Claire the story.  Claire was just trying to figure out why she wasn't invited...we had to explain that she wasn't here yet.  She couldn't quite wrap her mind around such a concept!  We stopped at the hatchery, and a park ranger was feeding the fish....and Jackson and Claire were asked to help her.  As you can see, that was lots of fun for them.  I can't wait to see what the next ten years hold for our family....Jackson will be 16 and Claire will be 13.  Mercy, mercy!!

Suessical the Musical

Last night, we went and watched "Suessical the Musical".  The students did absolutely fabulous!  Jack and Claire sat still for over an hour and just loved this show.
