Father's Day 2009

Today, our family celebrated 3 very special people in our lives. My dad, Blake's dad, and Blake. Blake and I are both so thankful for our dads. Being parents now ourselves, we realize all of the love they have for us, and how they always have our best interests at heart, and all of the things our parents have done (and still do) for their children.

We got up and went to church this morning. We had special singers at church today, so Blake didn't have to be at church early to practice, and we got to all ride together, which was a special treat. We sat through most of church together, until Jackson had a meltdown in the nursery (again). Bless his heart.

After church, we ran a couple of errands, and got dressed to go to Blake's aunts' house for lunch. We originally were grilling out...but the cookout was moved inside because it is about one million degrees outside.

We then went to my parents' house, and grilled out, and spent about 3 hours in the pool. The pool water felt like hot tub water, but hey, at least it was of a little relief.

I am so thankful for Blake today. He is such a great "Dad-O" to Jackson. He is a mighty man of God, and a living example for Jackson to follow.

Happy Father's Day!
