Lap Sit

He will not appreciate this in a few years...I am so sure.
Chubby crayon hands.
Hard at work.

A few weeks ago, I signed Jackson (and myself) up for the lap sit program at our local library. He loves the library, amd I thought the program looked pretty fun. I have been pretty impressed with it, so far. We meet in a little room for 30 minutes, once per week, with about 15 other children that are about the same age as Jackson. He has a little folder, name tag, and weekly homework assignments. So far, we have made puppy ears and a scarecrow puppet. Best of all, the program is free of charge!

36 Week, 1 Day Doctor Visit

Yesterday, we went to our weekly doctor visit. I also had another Fetal Non Stress Test. Baby Claire's heart rate looks beautiful, and I am having some mild contractions. I am dilated 3 centimeters. My blood pressure was 116/72 (I think, I never can remember that number for some reason), and my weight stayed the same. My doctor looked at my glucose log, and I am now only having to test my blood sugar in the mornings when I wake up, or if I try a new food, that I have not eaten thus far. I pretty much eat the same old thing every day, and know what triggers an increase, and that I need to eat every two hours, so I get to give my fingertips a break! As of right now, we have a c-section scheduled for Thursday, October 14. Please keep us in your prayers. We go back to the doctor on Monday for our next appointment and another ultrasound.

This Week's Doctor Visit: 35 Weeks, 2 Days

I went to see Dr. Childs on Tuesday this week. He wasn't there, so I saw Kay, the nurse practitioner. My weight stayed the same this week, and my blood pressure was 106/72. I had another ultrasound and fetal non stress test. Everything looks great. I go back on Monday for another check!

An Extraordinary Day with Jack and Ben

On Thursday, Robin and I were going to take Jackson and Ben to the Aquarium. But, it was super pretty outside (although a bit warm), and we ended up playing with the boys outside at her house all morning and afternoon. Robin sat up the climber, 2 water tables, and a restaurant, and the boys had a blast. Probably more fun than the Aquarium! We ended the day by watching the new Thomas and Friends movie, "Misty Island Rescue." Needless to say, it was a great day!

Girls Night Out

Friday night, the girls from church showered Baby Claire and me. We had dinner at P.F. Changs, and then went back to Claire's house for refreshments, presents, and fun. Madeline Claire is going to be one stylin' chic in all of her new pink outfits and accessories! So fun.

I took three bites of a cupcake. It was AMAZING!!

That is sugar free chocolate...in case you were wondering!

34 Weeks, 4 Days Doctor Visit

On Thursday, we had another doctor's appointment and ultrasound. Baby Claire is doing just fine! She weighs approximately 5 pounds, 15 ounces. My blood pressure was 106/72, I think. I gained 1 pound this week. I am dilated 2 centimeters....we go back again Thursday for a doctor visit to see what is happening with The Little Miss! I think I will pack my hospital bag this weekend, and get the swing and Baby Papasan out of storage! I can't believe that there is going to be a baby at my house in a month!! Keep us in your prayers, please!

A Party for Claire

Shower pictures...in reverse.

Blake's mom threw a family shower for us Sunday, after church. Blake's Aunt Tina, made the cake. It was just like the one that was made for Darla's shower for Blake. She even used the same cake topper, and I got to keep it. I put in on Claire's dresser. It looks super cute. We got many nice gifts for our girl. Most of all, it was fun seeing everyone! I am so thankful that so many people love her already.

Tot School: Cars

We finished up our Cars lap book on Monday. Jackson had fun making the race car driver puppet. Blake took the leftover crib box and so far it has been a fort, tent, tunnel, and life size model of Jackson. Blake traced him, and Jackson decorated it with markers.
