Week 29 of 2013: And Summer Bucket List #11

Many of Jackson's kindergarten supplies and books arrived this week!  Blake and I have decided to teach Jackson at home this upcoming school year.  I will probably be writing a blog post about each week of school to hold myself accountable, and to make myself take pictures of this time we are going to share!

Both of our kids have had a little bit of a hard time adjusting to our new house.  Nothing terrible, but a bit cranky and just extra needy.  Blake and I have been trying to keep things pretty structured at home and it does seem to be helping.  We also decided they both needed some one on one time.  So, last Sunday I took Claire for breakfast, and Blake and Jack hit up the Waffle House.  Jackson wants to be with Blake 24/7 these days.

In other news, Claire can now pedal her tricycle all by herself!
Another summer bucket list item (number 11) to be checked off!!  The Passage at the Aquarium is actually closed, but Jack and Claire (and their buddy Ben) had just as much fun playing in all the water at the Aquarium...until it started raining!

Christmas in July, Part 1

Brad and Lydia hosted their annual Christmas in July party this past weekend.  It is something I look forward to each July!  I was quite proud of Blake and I having such spiffy costumes...until Sonny and Cher arrived.  I mean, seriously?!?  Couldn't even compete with that!!!  I have some other pictures to add that Brad and Lydia took, but I couldn't resist posting Sonny and Cher for all the world to see (well, not really since this is a private blog).

Pardon me, Is that the Chattanooga Choo Choo?

A free train exhibit was on display at the Choo Choo last week.  Needless to say, we spent some time here last week!!

Summer Bucket List #13: Visit an Aquarium

Sunday Snapshots

I forgot to take their pictures before church (Claire came home without and hair bow, shoes, and socks...Jackson got on his bike as soon as we got home and as helmet head!).  Blake and I have been trying to find a time for us to have one on one time with each child...and tried something new on Sunday.  Blake has to be at church early for praise team practice, and Jackson likes to go with him...so they went to Waffle House before practice.  I took Sissy to breakfast at Panera.  I know both of them enjoyed having some one on one time.  We are going to take turns taking them to breakfast on Sunday...if Jackson will oblige!  I know he enjoys having daddy all to himself...and that is okay, too!
