Freedom Festival

Our church hosted a Freedom Festival on Friday night. It was a great evening...lots of inflatables, a water slide, hot dogs, hamburgers, and fun with friends and family. The Voices of Lee sang, and a fireworks show for the finale. Awesome time.

1: Happy New Year!

We rung in the New Year with some great friends last night. Definite a holiday my little night owl loved! This morning we had breakfast with Blake's family, and played Monopoly...fun!

Then, onto lunch at my parents' house....black eyed peas and cabbage! Then, onto the house for much needed naps...pretty much couch potatoes for the rest of the evening. Blake made Chex Mix and we watched Beezus and Ramona. I loved those books as a little girl, and thought the movie was precious!

Happy New Year!!

Labor Day Fun

We had a great, relaxing Labor Day. We slept in (8:00 counts, right). Blake made breakfast. We kind of eased into our morning. We packed a picnic lunch, and headed to the park around lunch time. Jackson got to try out his new tricycle on the track. He pretended he was Lightning McQueen the whole time, on his way to California for the last race. He is practically obsessed with Lightning McQueen these days. With each lap, he needed new tires, a new battery, or Blake to start his engine. It was pretty funny.
After we ate lunch, Jackson played some more. We then were brave enough to go walk around Toys R Us, to get some ideas for Christmas gifts. Needless to say, we were able to get PLENTY of ideas for Mr. Jackson. He still hasn't forgotten about the train table! Shopping should be pretty easy!

4th of July Weekend

I didn't get many pictures at all of our weekend festivities....Saturday morning, I realized that my camera battery was not charged, but did have enough "juice" left to snap just a few pictures. We spent the whole day with family, and it was lots of fun. We spent the afternoon at my parents' house, eating and swimming. Jackson has acquired a taste for my dad's grilled ribs, and he was quite the entertainer while eating his lunch. We spent the evening at Blake's grandparents' house, eating and hanging out outside. We then went to the fireworks show at the Lake...the people watching before the show never fails to entertain. Jackson loved the fireworks, and wasn't scared at all. Too bad our sweet dog practically destroyed our garage while the neighbors were celebrating....she ending up taking 4 Benadryl and sleeping really good last night. Poor girl.

Easter Egg Hunt

Last Saturday, we took Jackson to an Easter Egg hunt at my parents' church. He found about 10 or so eggs, and then said he was finished. He wanted to go back inside and finish his lunch!

Our Santa Pics

Jackson has discovered Thomas the Train, and now loves, loves, loves, choo choo trains. So, a lady at my parents' church told my mom that Santa was going to be at the Train Depot this Saturday morning, taking Santa photos. We decided to go, and I am so glad that we did. Jackson loved watching the trains, but didn't love Santa so much. It was so still lots of fun, though!
