15: Bowling

First things first: Somebody stole our snowman's teeth. RUDE! Jackson was upset and cried...he didn't understand why someone would take something that didn't belong to them. Hard to explain that to a 2 year old! I wrote a note a posted it on our snowman, requesting that his teeth be returned. They are still missing.

Saturday night, the Blazek's invited us over for dinner, and then to go bowling. It was hilarious. Jackson loved it, until he mashed his fingers...he got very upset and had a total meltdown. They are a little bruised today, but he is okay.

13: Another Snow Day!

Blake had to go back to work...but didn't have to be at work until 10, and got to leave at 2. Education does have it perks. My mom treated us to lunch at Olive Garden. Love, love their soup and salad lunch!

12: Cabin Fever?

Jackson got in my make up bag and applied mascara...Blake did not think this was as funny as I did...

Ready for out outing to the mall...


Although we didn't have cabin fever, and LOVED the snow, we were ready to get out and about on Wednesday. We bundled up and went to the mall for a little while. We let Jackson play on the mall playground, and I went and bought Jackson and Claire SUMMER clothes, of all things! Do you love Claire's new sunhat?

11: Another Snow Day!

No school again today! Today, Jackson and Blake built their awesome snowman. Do you love him? Our neighborhood is a complete icy mess...Brad and Lydia walked up to her house for a short visit today (and to bring Blake a Coke to drink with dinner). A snow plow came and starting sliding backwards down the hill in front of our house....kind of scary. No school again tomorrow!!

10: The "Blizzard" of 2011

Yesterday morning, we woke up to a beautiful surprise! We had 8.5 inches of snow at our house!! It was absolutely gorgeous.

Jackson could hardly wait to go out and play. He jumped up out of bed, and immediately ran to the window to see if the promised snow had came to visit while he was sleeping! So sweet.

Our neighborhood is perfect for sledding...it was so fun watching everyone go up and down the hills. Claire and I snuggled up on the couch most of the day...I read...she slept. Next year, we will put her on the sled!

Real Snow, Day 2

Saturday morning, Blake got up and cooked breakfast, and a little bit later we decided to go to my parents house and try out their sleds. We do not have one, and it is now on our must buy list. We hope to see more of these snowy days, soon!! Our neighborhood was/still is pretty icy, but we drove slowly and carefully and made it. We had a blast. We went sledding with my Dad, Brad, and Lydia. We also build our "Old Man Winter" snowman, and Brad made Snow Cream. I also got to break out my awesome galoshes that have been waiting for the perfect conditions to debut.

A "Real" Snow

Maybe we will be weather watchers when we our older for the local news station.

Forget the milk and bread, Blake stopped at Publix on the way home from work, and bought pure junk food for our weekend. And biscuits and bacon for breakfast tomorrow morning!
