Christmas at Nandee and Pop's

We usually celebrate Christmas with Nandee and Pop on Christmas Eve.  If my memory is correct, we all traveled back from Disney World on the 23rd, and somehow Darla was ready to host Christmas just a few hours later!  She pulled it off!  We did start a few hours later than normal...we were all pretty worn out from a whole week of excitement, which I will share more about later.  We had a nice lunch, exchanged gifts, and just hung out the rest of the afternoon.  We did not go to the Christmas Eve service that we normally go to....Jackson and Claire were worn out, and Blake and I had a few gifts to assemble!  We had a great time celebrating, as always!

Snow Days and Cold Days 2015

This week has been such a treat!!   Blake was supposed to work on Monday (President's Day), but ended up getting off of work due to an expected snowfall of 3-6 inches.  That never happened, but we did get a little bit of snow and ice...which has led to school still being closed on Thursday.  I am loving having my whole family at home all day.  We have been extremely busy since January, and are thankful for this much needed family time.  We have spent hours playing Calico Critters in the playroom, building with Legos, playing Monopoly, napping, resting, reading...just whatever.  It has been almost like a vacation!
