Snow Days and Cold Days 2015

This week has been such a treat!!   Blake was supposed to work on Monday (President's Day), but ended up getting off of work due to an expected snowfall of 3-6 inches.  That never happened, but we did get a little bit of snow and ice...which has led to school still being closed on Thursday.  I am loving having my whole family at home all day.  We have been extremely busy since January, and are thankful for this much needed family time.  We have spent hours playing Calico Critters in the playroom, building with Legos, playing Monopoly, napping, resting, reading...just whatever.  It has been almost like a vacation!

Papa is 66!

Sunday Snapshots, Edition 1 of 2015

Our little loves all dressed up for church this morning!  Jackson must have thought he was going to meet Darth Vader on the way to Children's Church this morning!

I am hoping to start blogging more consistently in 2015.  I really haven't blogged much since August 2014.  I have missed it, and it is something I enjoy doing...writing about my family!  I may do a 2014 recap, but there are some super sad parts of 2014 that I am not sure I am ready to share a lot about right now, but maybe I will someday!

For now, we are looking at the gifts, joys, and healing that each new day brings.  God has literally carried us from November 6, 2014, and still is today.  He has been so good t

o us in our sorrow, and I have never been more thankful for the hope of Heaven.  We rest assured that God has a perfect plan for our family, and we are trusting Him to carry us through each day.

Milk and Cookies with Santa 2014

A few weeks ago, we went to Milk and Cookies with Santa at Claire's preschool.  We made reindeer food, iced sugar cookies, saw Santa, and made ornaments!  This was our 3rd time going, and it was a special time, as always.

Christmas Play 2014

Jackson and Claire both participated in the Christmas Play at our church on Sunday night.  Jackson also participated in the Sunday morning performance, but Claire refused to sing.  Jack was a shepherd, and Claire sang in the choir.  We were so proud of them both!  Neither of them LOVE getting on stage and performing, but they were both brave and did so well!  I am a proud mama!
